Hello, Miss Stone? We spoke briefly on the network, I am Viktor. I was hoping to discuss several items I would like made, if you are taking commissions at the moment.
she is so happy someone from the network used her business contact......
Of course. Would you like to make an appointment for a fitting? My doors are open from nine AM to five PM on weekdays, but I'm glad to make exceptions for fellow sleepers.
It is. If you would tell me a little of what you want, I could try and find what I need to make it. Of course, it would be better if you could bring them yourself.
[but she expects she'll have to figure out the notions and fastenings herself.]
Two I hope are simple enough. My lab partner and I could both use a pair of sturdy gloves and a coat for our work. I am uncertain if you work with leather or not, that would be ideal for the gloves but any material sturdy enough I believe would be acceptable as well.
[a short pause between messages because the next one he's unsure about for a variety of reasons. it's a little bit of an odd request, he thinks, but also she seems like she might have the skillset required to help. and his back really could use it sooner rather than later]
I admit the other matter is a bit more complicated. To put it simple I wear a brace for my back, to help align my spine properly and offer support I need to remain mobile through the day. I've tried replicating one in metal but the materials here have been too heavy and worn to really be helpful.
I was wondering if you may be able to help me design something more lightweight? It wouldn't be dissimilar to a corsetry, I suppose. Even simply making something I can use as a base would be very helpful.
As for materials I should be able to bring them, if you can tell me how much and what you think you need.
I do work with leather, and I would be glad to make you gloves and coats. I could make you stays, but I would be remiss if I did not tell you of Peggy's Aid. She does sell braces, and she takes custom work. I'm afraid I don't have the experience or the understanding that she does. Her shop is in the Lumenwood. You might ask the lantern imps for the Lumenarium, and they will direct you from there.
