I have cottons in black and dark blue as well. I'm sure I could order cotton padding, if you need it.
[actually that would probably be a good idea in general for all the padding she makes to go under sleeper's armor. it does need to be washed quite often.]
Is there a trick to drying wool with the machines? I know you can wash it gently, with cold water.
[rip some dress she sat on the floor and cried about.]
Oh, that perfect!! I think cotton is just easier to maintain, though maybe I'll get some wool when it gets a little colder. ^O^
Honestly, the best thing to do with real wool is AVOID putting it in a machine to dry. Just hang it up to air dry naturally, or lay it flat somewhere dry. It takes longer, yeah, but it won't shrink that way. Certain mixed fabrics with wool can be dried in a machine, but it's safer to just air dry, really. At least from my experience... Better safe than sorry!!
Thank you, I'll keep that in mind. You might ask the lantern imps for the Rookery, or look for the building in Cellar Door with the tree growing out of it. It's a weirwood, with white branches and red leaves.
I did find that, when I'm running a dryer, the residual heat from the machine can sometimes dry wool things if they're small... So I'll sometimes put a scarf, sweater, or some socks on top of it and dry them that way.
Oooh, that sounds so interesting!! I think it'll be easy to spot, so thank you so much!! I'll stop by later today if that's okay?
