Do you know how often that situation occurs, when compared with the alternative? Because I've worked out some figures, and hoping would only be that.

not so great w/numbers but ive heard other people talk about it too. i guess its more common than i thought. youre right though. and theres no real way to know. except to just wait. and accept it and feel shitty.

It's grief. It means you had something worth grieving. I tried to be rid of it, and that was worse.

We are grieving with you. I didn't know Shoyo as well as I would like, but I'm very sorry he's gone, and I hope he will come back so i can know him better.

It helps to know that they're only in the ocean, but of course it still hurts not to have them here.

Shoyo taught me volleyball. He had my back when it really needed having, and a couple times he really stopped me from making a mess of myself.

We used to go to the beach and yell at the ocean. Once, he yelled because of you. Not because you made him yell, but because he cared so much when all that shit went down in July.

If you think it might help, we can both yell at the ocean for Shoyo. It probably won't help, but I think he'd get a laugh out of it.

Maybe that's what it comes down to. I'm new to having things worth grieving.
