sansastark
winter is coming.
"Hallo, this is Sansa Stark of Winterfell. Thank you very much for calling me, but I'm afraid I'm not available to speak with you at the moment. If you might leave a message, I promise to return it as soon as I can."

Take a fur-lined cloak for Wintermute, then. I can make you leather armor and woolens, if you send me your measurements, and a padded collar like my brothers wore.
[a pause.]
What is it that has you in Wintermute?

[He paused for a moment, considering his words.]
I keep being.....drawn there to help with new Star Children. At first I was angry because I thought it a waste of time but then someone very dear to me arrived and I realized perhaps being sent on this repetitive task was leading me to her this entire time. There was a purpose to it all. So if I am to continue, I need some warmer clothes than the ones I tend to wear.

That's very sweet. It's good of you to take on the task; I should hate to think of anyone left alone in a new world with no one to help them. But I have been sent to greet people in Epiphany before, and I know other people have been sent to Never Fade. I think it's wherever the nearest Trial is held. The different Headmistresses seem to take turns running them, but I haven't yet found a calendar of it, or any records of the pattern.
[she frowns a little.]
It's harder to research things here, without the Archives.

It is frustrating. Much of what I have learned about this place has come from word-of-mouth rather than anything I have read. I had no idea this was even a normal occurrence in this place. Lack of knowledge is often a way to prevent others from gaining access to power.

It was worse where I came from. We didn't even do it on purpose; parchment was rare and expensive, and we didn't have anything else. If I ever go back to Winterfell, I should like to build schools.
[which makes her think a lack of centralized information isn't intentional on the part of the fox; she wasn't trying to embody all knowledge, and likely wouldn't have an interest in collecting and disseminating as much as possible. sansa frequently finds herself missing never mind and his ravens.]
There are great libraries in the school. I think the Lady Fox just likes to be unpredictable.

[He knew that well enough from talking to Rey and other people from her time period.]
To build schools are a good way to start. And shall help you achieve a form of immortality in the end.
[There was a soft tone of approval in his voice when he spoke.]
Perhaps that is what the fox wants as well. Immortality for all time.

It seems to me that a lot of people here think she's immortal already. Do you think she has any cause to fear death?
[sansa has a vague feeling that the fox would like them to believe that she doesn't, regardless.]

[Maul feared less than some but still there was a small amount within him.]
The Nightkin have a saying: 'Not even the stones of the mountains or the light of the stars last forever.' And so it is with anything else in the galaxy.

It would be very lonely to outlive everything else. Perhaps that's what this place is for.
[sansa had managed to survive so much in westeros, but she had been so lonely.]

[Maul had outlived everyone he cared about in his own galaxy and it had brought him nothing but misery.]
Maybe that is all the fox wants. Companionship.
