sansastark
winter is coming.
"Hallo, this is Sansa Stark of Winterfell. Thank you very much for calling me, but I'm afraid I'm not available to speak with you at the moment. If you might leave a message, I promise to return it as soon as I can."
video; un @nightsister
Merrin looks as calm and welcoming as a Nightsister is able to manage, which by now isn't so bad. It's been a few years since she gave off a distinct aura of witch to anyone who glanced her way. ]
Hello, Sansa. My name is Merrin. I am a friend of Ezra's, and I am... close, with another Jedi, Cal Kestis. I thought perhaps we might get to know one another, considering our attachments to our Jedi.
[ She doesn't truly understand human social graces, particularly those from outside her galaxy, but an offer of friendship cannot go too wrong, can it? ]

sansa has no quarrel with witches; she would like to think she's something of a witch herself. and she's very used to providing enough social graces for both sides of a conversation.]
Hallo, Merrin. I'm always glad to meet a friend of Ezra's. I'm afraid I have yet to meet Cal Kestis, though I'm sure I would be glad of the opportunity. I'm afraid I know little of the Jedi, though; Ezra and I met in another city similar to this place, and my world is very different to his galaxy.

I am certain you will get to know Cal in time. The Jedi here tend to form fast bonds, which is understandable given the circumstances in our own galaxy. I am a Nightsister of Dathomir, and one of the last of my own kind.
[ Best to get the witchy stuff out of the way first, right? ]
no subject
I'm very sorry to hear that you're among the last of your kind. I know how difficult that can be––I have yet to meet anyone else from my world in these places, let alone my land of Westeros, where I might find a teacher in the ancient magic of the First Men I am learning to wield. It is said to have been commonplace many thousands of years ago, but now the North alone remembers.
I have found other traditions rooted in what Ezra calls 'the living force' to be very helpful in my studies.

I do not know much of the magicks of other worlds, but Nightsisters are also able to wield the energy that Jedi name the Force. We do not touch it as directly as they do, but there is much we can do that is similar.
[ She's talked to Ezra a little about the differences in their philosophies, but the Force seems to work just fine for either of them. It is not surprising to find that whatever energy fuels Sansa's magic has some common ground to be found with her Jedi. ]
I have also found that studying with the Jedi to be helpful in finding ways to use my magick that I would perhaps not have thought of alone on Dathomir without my sisters to guide me. And perhaps some that they would not have considered, as well. We were very distrustful of outsiders on my homeworld.

He's sat with his thoughts and feelings and sorted through his motivations. He's talked to Obi-Wan. He's still not sure how to have this conversation, but well. Awkwardly is better than not at all, he thinks.]
Sansa.
...you know I love you, right? I don't think I say things like that out loud enough, I think.
no subject
I––love you too.
[she responds without thinking very much about it, it comes out softer and more hesitant than she meant it (if she meant anything at all). she has no idea where he's going with this. he sounds like he's off to war, or proposing marriage.]
I don't remember the last time I said something like that out loud, to anyone.
[a careful pause.]
Ezra, is everything all right?
no subject
He grins, allowing himself a tiny feeling of victory and generally basking in feeling loved, before answering Sansa's question and focusing on her worry.]
Yeah. At least, I think so.
I...saw your conversation with Ahsoka on the network. And it made me stop and think about things we haven't actually said.
no subject
Oh, I thought––we swore we'd stay together. [she pauses, trying not to let baseless worries flood her mind.] Should I have said that we were dating, or that you're my boyfriend? It's all very different to how we talk about these things in Westeros.

Hey, are you busy this evening?
no subject
No, I don't have anything planned.
[she sounds like she wants to be invited to dinner...]

Wanna go out? Stay in?

I have heard you are quite the talented clothes-maker here. Do you remember the cloak you gave me in Trench? The one with the fur around the shoulders and collar?
no subject
she's dressed elegantly as always, in grey linen embroidered with silvered greenery. she and lady sit on a much more comfortably padded velvet couch than in her previous videos.]
Hallo, Lord Maul. I have a number of cloaks available to anyone at Hoot Couture. I should be glad to find you a black fur to go around the shoulders, if you like.

Take a fur-lined cloak for Wintermute, then. I can make you leather armor and woolens, if you send me your measurements, and a padded collar like my brothers wore.
[a pause.]
What is it that has you in Wintermute?

We don't know each other, but I figured it was time to introduce myself. I'm Tony. Nice to meet you, from one Stark to another.
no subject
Hallo, Tony. Thank you for writing me. I have been hoping to find other Starks here. Would you like to meet for tea, sometime?
no subject
[ He thinks about it for a bit and then follows up with another message. ]
Wanna hit up the Catfe? I like their coffee, but I think the tea's pretty good there too.
no subject
I should be glad to meet you at the Catfe. It isn't far from where I live, and Lady likes to visit the cats.
I have a book on the old Kings of Winter on my relic. I could send you a copy of it.
